The Trails and Open Space Coalition and the Papeton Neighborhood Organization invites you to join us for a One Bag Challenge Cleanup at Flanagan Park.
The One Bag Challenge is built around a simple idea: if everyone picks up just one bag of litter, together we can make a big difference. These fun, family-friendly cleanups are designed to be approachable for everyone, whether you’re a longtime volunteer or participating in your very first stewardship event. Most One Bag Challenge cleanups last less than an hour, making them an easy way to give back while spending time outdoors.
Since launching in 2024, One Bag Challenge volunteers have completed more than 120 cleanups, removing thousands of pounds of litter from parks, trails, waterways, and open spaces from Castle Rock to Fountain. Every cleanup helps protect wildlife habitat, improve water quality, and create a better outdoor experience for everyone.
Participants will help remove litter from Flanagan Park while learning about the impacts that trash can have on wildlife, waterways, and the overall park experience. Along the way, you’ll meet fellow community members who care about keeping Colorado Springs beautiful.
Parking is available at the park and in the surrounding neighborhood. Please consider carpooling, biking, or walking if possible.
